Thanks so much for visiting my web site.  Let me tell you a little about myself.  I am a rabbi, ordained in the Reform movement, who is accepting and observant of the more traditional aspects of Judaism.  I was the rabbi of a vibrant congregation in Manhattan for 25 years.  I also have a Master’s degree in Social Work, awarded from Yeshiva University. I was also a chaplain at Bellevue Hospital Center.  I recently studied psychoanalysis at The National Institute for the Psychotherapies.

As I grow older, I find myself pondering such existential questions as: “What is the meaning of my life?”, ” What is its purpose?”, ” What does it mean to successfully grow older?”  I do not have the absolute answers to these age-old questions, but I do believe that I have insight and understanding.  Issues having to do with children or aging parents can also be a source of distress. The inability to cope with the increasing years can bring about anxiety and depression.  I believe that I can help you.  From both a Jewish and a psychological vantage point, I would welcome the opportunity to enable your healing.

I am trained in the art of good listening and possess very good people skills. In terms of psychology, I draw on both a Cognitive- Behavioral approach and Humanistic psychology. I believe that my Judaic, spiritual, psychological perspective is a rather unique blend that could relieve anxiety and depression which frequently accompany advancing age.  Let me help.  I believe I can.  We could meet at my conveniently located office in the heart of Greenwich Village or even in your home.  I utilize a sliding scale in determining my fees, which are always reasonable.
